The 2016 Formula 1 season really was a rollercoaster of emotions, here’s how we all felt throughout the year.
From exciting on-track battles, to team-mate collisions, the odd dull race and retirement announcements. It’s been a pretty eventful F1 2016 season. Here’s how we’ve all reacted to it:
The Australian GP marks the start of the F1 season. EXCITING.
Then we saw how rubbish elimination qualifying was.
It got binned after Bahrain though.
There was drama on the opening laps in China and Russia.
Then it reached a whole new level with the Nico Rosberg/Lewis Hamilton clash in Spain.
With Max Verstappen picking up the pieces to win.
Daniel Ricciardo was pissedd off after the Monaco GP and his sad face made us sad.
The Canadian GP was pretty boring.
And we had high expectations for Baku, but they weren’t met.
The last lap in Austria was crazy as hell.
Hungary qualifying was mad, the race… less so.
Germany was pretty “meh” too.
Magnussen’s crash at Spa caught our attention.
The marshal on track in Singapore was also a big shock.
The title fight heated up with Hamilton’s engine fire in Malaysia.
Vettel’s complaining reached a new low in Mexico.
Massa’s Brazil DNF hit us right in the feels.
And then we realised Abu Dhabi was both Button and Massa’s last F1 races.
Rosberg won the title, but Hamilton took victory at the finale. It was TENSE!
And then Rosberg announced his retirement.
So. Many. Emotions!
