A New Dawn For McLaren As The Renault-Powered MCL33 Roars Into Life

McLaren-Renault is yet to reveal its 2018 car, but Woking was shocked by the recent noises coming from McLaren HQ – an F1 engine roaring into life before pre-season testing? Birds surrounding the area that are yet to migrate and other wildlife was left stunned as a healthy, loud engine burst into life. After several seasons with Honda power stuttering out of the HQ and hardly a whisper before winter testing meltdowns, the MCL33 is already a step ahead.

Statements of confidence have already circulated the team, with a firm belief that McLaren can be the big movers in the constructors’ championship this season following a difficult 2017 campaign in which ninth place was all that could be mustered.

The engine of the MCL33 coming to life marks a new chapter in the rich history of McLaren, and hopefully this new partnership won’t prove to be another false dawn that McLaren fans must endure.

The full car gets revealed on 23 February, and suggestions are that’s it’s going back to the classic shade of Papaya…
