Everything was ridiculous cool about Fernando Alonso’s Indy 500 adventure earlier this year, right down to the awesome helmet design he used for the legendary race.
Well if you were a fan of Fernando’s retro-looking lid at Indy, then good news! He’ll be using the design for next weekend’s US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
The design is pretty much identical to the one he used at Indianapolis but of course uses his F1 race number 14 instead of the number 29 that he used for the 500.
Let’s hope it’s not the last time we see this design used but with McLaren’s Honda connections cut, it’s surely very unlikely that Alonso will race at next year’s Indy 500, which is a big, big shame.
