An Arrows F1 Car Is Going To Race A 1200hp Toyota 86 In Adelaide

Each yeah the Adelaide Motorsport Festival does some awesome things with F1 cars – from street parades to midnight thrashes through the city centre, it’s worth keeping an eye out for what’s going on.

This year’s event takes place from 7-10 December, and one of the highlights is going to be a race between a 1994 Footwork Arrows FA15 (as raced by Gianni Morbidelli and Christian Fittipaldi) and a heavily-modified Toyota 86. Called the WTF 86, the car has been fitted with a tuned Nissan GTR engine pumping out 1200hp.

The two cars will go head-to-head in a roll race – basically a drag race from a rolling start – on the pit straight of the Adelaide street circuit, which hosted the Australian GP until 1986.

Sure, the Footwork is down on power but is much lighter than the Toyota, so it could be a close run thing.

Which car do you think is going to win? Let us know in the comments!
