Both the FIA Formula 2 Championship and the GP3 Series have announced extended race calendars next year.
2018 will also see F2 (formerly GP2) run a brand-new chassis for the first time in seven years. The new car matches current F1 regs with wider tyres, cooler aero and… the Halo, unfortunately.
F2 will feature 12 rounds for the first time since 2012. The series has dropped the standalone round at Jerez and has added races at Sochi and Paul Ricard as support races for the F1 events there.
