Whatever your thoughts on Formula E, you’ve got to admire the big names they’ve got on board with the series and for the upcoming season, they’ve got a legendary manufacturer making their motorsport return.
They’ve raced and won at Le Mans, had a brief spell in Formula One and now the Jaguar name is returning to motorsport in the all-electric Formula E series with this, the I-Type.
The I-Type was officially launched today with Panasonic as a title sponsor on its sleek black and electric blue livery, while the manufacturer also revealed their eagerly awaited driver line-up.
Irish racing veteran Adam Carroll will partner 22-year-old New Zealander Mitch Evans, who has spent the last four seasons racing in the GP2 Series.
The Jaguar I-Type will make its race debut at the opening round of the Formula E Championship in Hong Kong next month.
