So despite laughing this off originally, it turns out Caterham’s bid to return to Formula One with crowdfunding has actually gone and bloody worked.
They may have only got 80% of their £2.35 million target, but the team revealed on their Twitter page that they’d be making a return for the final race to presumably nab Marussia’s money for tenth place in the championship.
