Check Out This Visor Cam Of The 2018 IndyCar Pounding Around Road America

Spencer Pigot and 2016 IndyCar champion Simon Pagenaud were testing the 2018 IndyCar with its new, universal aero package, and so far things are looking good.

The updated car is supposed to reduce the dependency on the upper-body aero and therefore make the racing much closer, whilst also appearing more spectacular to drive. Pagenaud certainly approved of his initial run with the car, saying:

“When you have a moment, when the rear breaks away, it’s a lot easier to catch than it used to be. You can light up the tires on exit and control the slide. So that should make it more fun to watch. And the car looks really sexy too!

“IndyCar really got the 2018 car right with this package. Definitely more emphasis on mechanical grip than aero like it used to be. Very positive.”

More sliding you say? We’ll be the judge of that! Thanks to the awesomeness of IndyCar, we can (kinda) be the judges of that, because there’s already a visor cam video of Spencer Pigot giving the car some welly.

To be honest, its hard to see the differences because he wasn’t exactly pushing it to the max, but any excuse for a visor cam video, right?!
