One of the most exciting things about Codemasters’ upcoming F1 2017 is the inclusion of classic F1 cars again for the first time since 2013.
The game will feature the McLaren MP4/4, Red Bull RB6 and a brace of Ferraris. The Williams FW14B will also be in the game, but Codemasters has revealed another classic Williams which will be in the game – the 1996 FW18. This is the car that Damon Hill drove to the world championship alongside Jacques Villeneuve.
For nostalgia’s sake we hope Villeneuve is listed in game as ‘Driverone Williams’ or ‘John Newhouse’.
There are still a few more cars to be revealed before the game launches in August and we’ve yet to see anything from other big teams like Benetton or Lotus, and you’ve got to think there’ll be more than just one McLaren in there too. We can’t wait to see what they are!
