He’s got some tough competition from Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button, but we think it’s pretty fair to describe Daniel Ricciardo as the funniest guy on the current F1 grid.
We can’t think of a reason why someone wouldn’t be a fan of the Aussie, from his podium antics and press conference jokes to his ridiculously huge smile. Here’s why he’s the funniest guy in F1 right now:
He brought the shoey to F1
Yep, that’s right. Drinking alcohol out of a sweaty shoe is actually a thing. And Ricciardo brought it to F1 on the podium.
And made everyone else do it in Malaysia
Props to the others for giving it a go, too!
He needs to start vlogging, asap
Next rap music sensation? Maybe.

This was all for a social media challenge, but it was pretty damn hilarious.
He doesn’t mind joking with the journos
When you try to tease a Scottish journalist…
…and get it VERY wrong 😂🌍

No, the journalist isn’t Irish. He’s Scottish. Almost, Daniel. Almost…
And dances like a true professional
Keep an eye out for his pre-driving dance sessions. They’re strangely hypnotic.
Told you so. Even Daniil Kvyat gets involved.
His rivalry/friendship with Massa is hilarious
So before I left yesterday there was something I needed to do.. @MassaFelipe19 #revenge 😄 pic.twitter.com/qnvIPndUed

And he then went and raced Massa’s son
Ricciardo uses social media like a pro
Plus, his car jam sessions are pretty epic

He doesn’t take himself too seriously
He performed with a rock band

And he gets involved in amusing interviews
Finally, he’s ALWAYS smiling
Even after a two-hour race in searing heat.
Please be our friend, Daniel.
