On Thursday Ferrari Formula 1 cars took to the Daytona International Speedway’s famous banking for the first time in history.
Ferrari F1 cars hadn’t ventured onto Daytona’s banked oval corners before, but that all changed on Thursday when the F1 Clienti single-seaters took to the circuit for some high-speed action.
F1 Clienti allows actual people to own and drive their own F1 machines, so it was understandable drivers were cautious initially when tackling this new challenge.
It was all part of the four-day Finali Mondiali event in Florida, which kicked off on Thursday and included runs of the cars in the XXX Programmes (including the 1,000bhp FXX K), Ferrari Challenge races and fast laps in a range of cars by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
For now, though, we’ll have to make do with this footage of F1 cars and classic sports cars from the past speeding around Daytona.
