With five hours left in the Daytona 24 Hours, this driver decided Continental weren’t getting enough air-time.

With the Daytona track still slippery after overnight rain (and lots of it) Scott Sharp went off onto the grass. It’s never fun as a driver to make a mistake, so to make the most of the situation decided he’d grab some advertising hoarding to keep as a memento.

He rejoined the circuit but then decided he didn’t want it, so left it in the middle of the track where everyone could see it better.

Reports that Scott Sharp was seen cashing a cheque from Continental Tyres the following morning were unfounded.
