Thomas Randle was in the title fight going into the second race of the Manfeild Circuit round, the finale of the Toyota Racing Series calendar.

He dropped to 15th at the start and needed to finish fourth to keep his hopes of winning the championship alive.

Guess what? He did just that. But only by the slimmest of margins and all thanks to this wonderful final-lap overtake around the outside, which lasted all the way through the last few corners.

P4 was enough to take the championship battle onto the third and final race and Randle finished third, to become the first Aussie to win the series. It’s fair to say that race two pass sealed the deal for his title success.
