Everything About This Mazda 767B Visor Cam Is Absolutely Mega

The Monterey Motorsports Reunion event at the epic Laguna Seca circuit is one of the stand-out historic racing events of the whole year, as all sorts of different cars take to the track for a series of short demonstrations and races.

Classic Group C and GTP cars are always a hit in historic racing, thanks largely to the huge variety of cars and manufacturers of the era. Mazda’s wailing rotary-engined beasts are some of the most iconic, and current Mazda sportscar driver Jonathan Bomarito drove an old 767B (predecessor to the Le Mans-winning 787B) in the race at Laguna Seca.

Everything about this is amazing, from the circuit to the close battles with other cars and – of course – the terrific sound from the four-rotor engine. Crank up the volume and enjoy.

Bomarito charged through from sixth to second in the race and had to get creative to pass a couple of Porsche 962s – the second of which was being driven by none other than McLaren team principal Zak Brown.
