Sergio Marchionne was a man who was clearly highly respected for his leadership skills and passion for the sport, and oversaw Ferrari’s emergence as a force to be reckoned with once more.

I never had the opportunity to talk with Mr Marchionne but I wish I had. He seemed a very capable leader. He walked into the musty stable and carefully groomed the disheveled coat of the horse he found there; encouraged it to regain its hind legs, to remember how to stand tall.
