Many sports enjoy fantasy games, but there’s never been an official one for F1 – until now. The sport has teamed up with sports entertainment company PlayON to set up the game as F1 targets ever-wider audiences.
How does it work? Well, you get a budget of $100 million (of imaginary money, sadly) to pick five drivers and a constructor. You then get points based on how well they finish, if a driver beats their teammate, and how many places they make up throughout the race. However, you can also lose points if they fail to finish. There’s also an option to give one of your drivers a ‘turbo boost’, which will double their points score for that weekend.
Naturally, we’ve set up our own league so that you can play along with fellow WTF1 fans. Everyone here at WTF1 is also taking part, so you can pit your fantasy F1 skills against us. Think you’ve got what it takes to come out on top? You can join our league by clicking here or searching on the site and using the code c090ee. Have fun, and good luck!
