Whether you’re a fan of both Star Wars and Formula 1, or you just like one of the two, there’s no denying these X-Wing crossover designs look damn cool.

With the new Star Wars film, Rogue One, in cinemas and the F1 2016 season having just come to an end, surely it’s the perfect time to crossover the two with some epic concept renders?
Dean Wright, a 3D artist and animation director, has let his talents loose on the famous X-Wing starfighter and created a look at what would happen if Star Wars and F1’s worlds collided.

It’s fair to say, the end result is pretty cool. Even if you don’t like Star Wars, or F1, the designs look damn awesome.
First up, Wright – from his website Get Wright On It (love the name) – created an X-Wing livery based on this year’s Ferrari F1 car.

This X-Wing is clearly a lot faster (as most things are) than the Ferrari and probably less likely to get stuck behind lapped traffic or get attacked by a wild Daniil Kvyat.
Speaking of the driver who was demoted from Red Bull to Toro Rosso, Wright asked Twitter and Facebook which other team they wanted to see with a branded X-Wing livery.

Red Bull Racing was the pick and the striking yellow, blue and red livery definitely looks eye-catching on the X-Wing Starfighter.

There’s also a funny crossover with Red Bull after the team’s Star Wars livery and partnership at the 2005 Monaco GP. Remember that?

We’d love to see more of these X-Wing/F1 mash-ups! Imagine what a bright yellow Renault X-Wing would look like? Or a Williams X-Wing with Martini stripes!
