Ferrari had a pretty tough time of things in 2016, and this compilation video set to Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound of Silence’ does a pretty good job of showing exactly why.
At the start of the year it looked like Ferrari might actually have a chance at challenging Mercedes throughout the season. But they threw away what looked like a decent chance at a win for Vettel in Melbourne and things, well, only got worse from there.
There were engine failures, tyre failures, strategy failures, driver failures, Kvyat failures…you name it, and it went wrong for Ferrari – often while they were in a decent position.
While Raikkonen seemed to be able to just get on with things in spite of it all, Vettel’s mind just went to hell. At least we got some hilarious team radio messages out of it, though!
Hard to believe this is the same team that no one could beat little more than a decade ago, isn’t it?
