Force India’s 2017 F1 Car Could Be Turning Pink

Reports from German publication Auto Bild suggest Force India’s 2017 Formula 1 machine could be going pink.

It’s not a colour we often see on F1 cars, not for a while anyway. But it seems a pink hue could be set to join the already colourful 2017 grid with the VJM10.

To be honest, it might be a nice change from the fairly dull and uninspiring grey and black (with a few bits of orange and green) livery it currently has.

To be honest, it might be a nice change from the fairly dull and uninspiring grey and black (with a few bits of orange and green) livery it currently has.

Plus, another colour on the grid is always welcome, no matter how bright or vibrant it is – we’ve got yellow, orange, red, lots of blue, why not pink?

According to Auto Bild, the talk of a potential pink livery is thanks to reports of talks between Force India and BWT – an Austrian water technology company.

A potential tie-up could lead to Force India’s VJM10 turning pink, due to conditions in sponsor agreements stating that cars are always painted pink.

We’ve seen pink cars with BWT sponsorship before, such as the Mercedes DTM cars run for Lucas Auer and Christian Vietoris in 2016. It’s also involved in Formula 4 this year.

The move to pink is only being reported for now, so there’s not much to get too excited about. But, there’s certainly enough room on that chunky shark fin for a big BWT logo.
