The all-electric Formula E series is now in the Real Racing 3 phone and tablet game, in a new update released yesterday (December 13).

For those unaware of Real Racing 3, it’s an extensive racing game for iOS and Android featuring a whole host of real circuits and wide variety of both normal and racing cars.

It was released way back in 2013 but loads of updates have been added to the game since then, with more cars and tracks.

Formula E is now making its debut in Real Racing 3, bringing it to small screens – having previously been added into console games like Forza Motorsport 5.

The FE update brings the Hong Kong ePrix circuit to Real Racing 3 and the electric single-seater car, with three teams from this season.

Players will be able to drive a Renault e.Dams, ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport or NEXT EV Formula E car from the 2016/2017 campaign, which is well underway.

According to EA Games, players of Real Racing 3 will have to deal with strategic battery management, just as FE drivers have to handle in real life.

Real Racing 3 is a free game (although there are in-app purchase) and the FE update is now available to download for iOS and Android.
