Formula V8 3.5 Racer Tries Daring Move, Ends Up Smashing Into Rival

The Formula V8 3.5 field is already small enough, the series can’t really afford to have drivers smashing each other off here, there and everywhere.

We saw that in the second race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez when Egor Orudzhev tried a move on Alex Palou into the first corner, but it backfired spectacularly.

Orudzhev was on the outside going into the tight turn, but then attempted to switchback across the circuit and dive down the inside.

The only problem was, that space was taken by Palou already, but as he tried to decide where to go next, the braking zone arrived and he slammed into the back of Palou.

With no control, they both flew off track and went straight into the barrier. In fact, it was Orudzhev’s second time in that tyre wall, having also smashed into it in race one.

Not ideal for the championship considering the field is made up of four (OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration) cars, but the hilariously bad overtaking move did give us a good laugh.
