Andretti Autosport Formula E driver Franck Montagny has reportedly tested positive for cocaine following the second Formula E round at Putrajaya.
The Frenchman, who raced for Super Aguri in 2006, missed the second round of Formula E at Punta del Este due to ‘health problems’. He admitted that he had taken a form of the drug in an interview with l’Equipe.
This brings Montagny’s position in the new sport into question. Jean-Eric Vergne, Charles Pic and Matthew Brabham have also raced for the team so far this season, but Montagny has produced the best result: a second place in the first round at Beijing.
