Brendon Hartley’s session came to an early end on the run down to Brooklands. The front-left suspension collapsed and sent him spearing into the tyre barriers. He was incredibly lucky that the car didn’t dig into the gravel and flip over – although it looks like it came mighty close.

Hartley walked away and was OK after a quick trip to the medical centre, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to be taking part in qualifying. The guy doesn’t get much luck, does he?
