It’s been a long road to recovery for Billy Monger since the suffering the terrible Formula 4 crash last year which resulted in having both of his legs amputated.
However, he’s long stated his ambitions to get back into motorsport and he’s already back behind the wheel. With the help of the charity Mission Motorsport, he’s been learning to drive using prosthetic limbs and cars with hand controls, and he’ll be putting his skills to use at the Autosport International show this weekend as part of a stunt driving team.
The speed at which he’s recovered and got back into driving is seriously inspirational stuff, considering it’s only been nine months since his accident. Amazingly he could even be back racing this season as he’s apparently working on securing a Formula 3 drive for the year.
