Citroen C3 WRC driver Meeke had a commanding lead over the rest of the pack but in the last minute or so of the entire rally, he went off road.
The World Rally Championship has now released onboard footage of Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle flying through bushes and into a car park.
It’s pretty funny to hear and see their reactions – Meeke seems startled and completely focused on getting back on the road, while Nagle kind of loses his mind slightly.
“Jesus Christ Kris” would probably be our reaction to such an incident too… quite a way to finish a rally.
Despite the off-road excursion and slight detour getting lost in the car park, Meeke still – somehow – managed to win the entire Rally Mexico. Nice one!
