Could LMP1 cars look like this in ten years time? Well if this Hyundai 2025 concept car is anything to go by then maybe, just maybe they could.
The Korean manufacturer’s Gran Turismo Vision concept was revealed at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show and as expected based on the teaser pictures, it looks like a futuristic Le Mans prototype.
The car on show was of course just a full-sized show model but the in-game car has some pretty neat specs.
The Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo powertrain is based on the world’s first mass-produced Hyundai hydrogen fuel cell system, highlighting Hyundai Motor’s passion for performance and sustainability. The total system output is 650 kW (871 HP), with the dual fuel cell stacks providing 500 kW (670 HP), and the super capacitor system generating an additional 150 kW (201 HP) by using energy regeneration when braking. This remarkable power is delivered through four high-powered independent in-wheel motors, which provide uncompromised traction and immediate response.
If I don’t see this car racing at Le Mans in 2025, I’m going to be disappointed.
