Calm down! It’s not a slow-motion video of Pastor Maldonado demo run gone horribly wrong. It’s actually a part of Indianapolis’ New Year’s celebration.

You might already be aware of New York’s famous “ball drop” (I know, I know) that acts as a countdown to the beginning of the New Year, in which a time ball (look it up on Wikipedia) descends down a pole and reaches the bottom in time for 12 midnight and the beginning of another year. Indianapolis, the home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and its famous 500 Mile Race, decided to do something a little different by dropping not a ball, but an IndyCar.

Watch a video of the drop here.
