IndyCar Teams Had An Intense Game Of Noughts And Crosses During The Rain Delay

When the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama was red-flagged due to a serious amount of rain, IndyCar teams decided to pass the time on Twitter by playing noughts and crosses (or 'tic-tac-toe', if you prefer)

We’ve got mixed feelings about lengthy red flag delays because of rain. On the one hand, it sucks because obviously we all want to see actual racing, especially when the track is wet. But on the other, drivers and teams tend to relax a bit and find amusing ways to pass the time. Take James Hinchcliffe, who decided to tell a wonderful story about how he peed himself in the car.

The teams opted for a slightly less disgusting way to keep busy, though, and Penske and Ed Carpenter racing embarked on an epic game of noughts and crosses through the medium of tweets.

I’m not sure what I’m more excited for - the rest of the race or the conclusion to this titanic scrap.
