Some say Herman Tilke circuits look like one big car park, well now one of them is actually becoming just that. Sadly though it’s one of the ‘Tilkedromes’ that’s actually good.
Istanbul Park, used as the Turkish Grand Prix venue between 2005 and 2011, is reportedly becoming a used car dealership named Istanbul Park Auto Market.
The circuit was loved by drivers and fans mainly thanks to the famous ‘Turn 8’ a high-speed left hander. The track is believed to have cost $300,000,000.
300 million for seven years of unattended F1 races, I’m sure the locals are thrilled with that purchase.
