This weekend Liberty Media will reveal some of its plans for the regulation changes in 2021. It’s a hot topic, and during the press conference Kimi Raikkonen was asked what he’d change in the sport if he was in power.
Now, trying to get any insightful quotes from Kimi Raikkonen is like trying to get a podium out of Nico Hulkenberg – apparently impossible. So of course, he simply wasn’t interested in expressing himself (nothing new there) about Liberty’s ideas because he doesn’t plan on sticking around long enough to experience them. He said:
“In the end it’s not our decision, it’s up to them. It’s their business, they make plans and decisions what they feel is correct. I don’t know what they’re doing, I know very little about it and I’m not interested either. We’ll see tomorrow what they see. It’s in many years time anyhow and I doubt that I’ll be here so it doesn’t really bother me at all. I don’t have the power so what’s the point to waste thinking about it?”
He wasn’t even interested in playing along and giving some of his opinions just for the heck of it:
“I don’t understand what’s the point for me, to give you a list, because in the end I have zero power. We don’t make the rules, that’s my point, so what’s the point even making a story out of it?”
Oh, Kimi!
