Ex-F1 driver now rally star Robert Kubica will return to circuit racing next week at Spa-Francorchamps in the fifth round of the Renault Sport Trophy.
It will be Kubica’s first race with Renault since his rally crash ahead of the 2011 F1 season, a year in which he was set to race in his second year at the Enstone team.
The former Renault F1 driver has already tested the RS01 race car at Ales in France.
“I quickly felt at ease at the wheel of the R.S. 01, and even on a twisty track like Ales its qualities were immediately evident, especially the stopping power granted by the carbon discs,” said Kubica.

“I was impressed by how late into the corner you can brake and by the absence of body roll, even when you push to make the most of the available grip.
“I look forward to driving it at Spa, where all the downforce the car can generate will also come into play.”
Kubica will compete for the Duqueine Engineering team at Spa on September 24-25.
