It was a miracle that Manor even made it onto the Formula One grid this year and after a tough year, due to numerous reasons, the team have finally got some good news… very, very good news in fact.

The little team from Sheffield have gone and bagged themselves Mercedes engines on a multi-year deal and not crappy second-hand ones like they’ve had from Ferrari, “current year” Mercedes engines. Nice.

“I am delighted to announce our new Power Unit partnership with Mercedes-Benz for the 2016 season and beyond,” said Manor Team Principal John Booth. “Although there were many factors governing our selection of an engine partner to help power us towards our long-term ambitions, ultimately the strength of the Mercedes-Benz package speaks for itself.”

Meanwhile at McLaren…
