Marcus Ericsson will probably be looking to move on from the Monaco Grand Prix as quickly as possible after making an embarrassing exit at the first corner.
The Swede crashed out of the race behind the safety car, while trying to unlap himself, shunting into the Turn 1 wall.
Our reaction at the time? This:
Sauber’s race went from bad to worse with Ericsson’s crash, as the safety car was deployed after their other driver Pascal Werhlein was pitched into the wall by Jenson Button.
Not a great way to end the race, and a very strange situation. We know brakes and tyres lose temperature behind the safety car, but still.
