Marc Marquez showed why his nickname is ‘The Alien’ after yet another one of his unbelievable saves.
The Spaniard was leading in the final race of the MotoGP season and looked as though he’d easily take his fourth title in the premier class, that was until this happened…
He rejoined in fifth which still would have been enough for him to take the championship. Then, when his title rival Andrea Dovizioso went into the gravel, Marquez was official MotoGP world champion for a fourth time.
The race will also be remembered for Jorge Lorenzo being less than supportive to his Ducati teammate Dovizioso. Lorenzo had been given multiple messages on his dashboard and pitboard to let his championship challenging teammate through, but only conceded the position when he went out into the gravel himself.
