Good news sim racers, iRacing and McLaren are teaming up to create a virtual version of the new McLaren MP4-30. This isn’t just any old user-made mod though, iRacing‘s chief executive Dave Kaemmer, recently visited the McLaren Technology centre to meet with Jonathan Neale, McLaren Chief Operating Officer and Steve Houghton, McLaren Head of Vehicle Dynamics to make sure iRacing’s MP4-30 is as authentic as possible.
“McLaren Racing is pleased to be working with iRacing in developing a digital version of the McLaren MP4-30,” said Neale. “This is the next logical step in what has proven to be a successful relationship between two leaders in the motorsports industry, and everyone at McLaren Racing is looking forward to seeing the McLaren MP4-30 on the virtual tracks of iRacing.”
In more good news; being a mod, you’ll be able to change the livery. Hurray!
