Pit stops are getting ridiculously fast in Formula One and now Mercedes think they may have achieved the quickest one ever. The world champions won the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award at the Hungarian Grand Prix for a 2.15 second stop but the team think it was even faster.
According to the Mercedes data Nico Rosberg’s pit stop you can see below was actually clocked at 1.73 seconds, meaning it would be quicker than the 1.92 second record set achieved by both Red Bull and Williams in past races.
