We all knew Mercedes were going to win the Constructors’ Championship this year but they probably didn’t expect to find out once they’d already started packing up from Sochi ready to head home.
Kimi Raikkonen’s final-lap lunge that took out Valtteri Bottas was under investigation after the race and following the stewards decision, the Ferrari driver was given a post-race penalty dropping him to eighth.
Could it be?! 30 second time penalty for Kimi?? We haven’t had any confirmation yet; this is too much… #RussianGP

The result therefore means Mercedes are now enough points ahead of Ferrari to be officially named as this year’s constructors’ champions.

So there you go. Well done, Merc… or should that be well done, Kimi?
