So you can forget those fugly spy-shots of the new Nissan LMP1 car, it actually looks pretty damn epic in the flesh carbon fibre. The GT-R LM NISMO was officially revealed in a Super Bowl commercial, where a racing driver forgets he has a son until he wins a race and retires. Well, I think that’s what’s happening anyway.
If you’re wondering why it looks a bit strange, that’s because it’s front-engined. And a front-engined prototype hasn’t raced at Le Mans since the Panoz LMP07 well over 10 years ago.
