After the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was cancelled due to severe flooding in the region, fans have been calling for a Virtual GP to replace the Imola race this weekend – like the events staged during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic – and perhaps even use the occasion to raise money to support those affected. Well, Team Redline seems to have fulfilled the fans’ wishes!
Details are a little thin right now, but there’s been confirmation that Team Redline’s ‘Real Racers Never Quit’ event is making a comeback! It was created in 2020 to keep fans (and the drivers!) entertained while motorsport was on hold, and the guest list of professional drivers that took part was incredible.
Past racers included Max Verstappen – who is part of Team Redline – Lando Norris, Lance Stroll, Stoffel Vandoorne, Antonio Felix da Costa, Nick Cassidy and Scott McLaughlin, just to name a few. Talk about name-dropping 🤭
