This weekend should have seen a Formula One race at the Nurburgring, but rather than just sitting there waiting for Hungary in over a weeks time, here’s some classic footage from the Nordschleife that should help fill the German Grand Prix void.
It’s rare to find much footage from Formula One races at the mighty Nordschleife circuit, which was last used by F1 back in 1976, but this video shows the full opening lap from the 1975 German Grand Prix with the legendary Niki Lauda leading the way in his Ferrari 312T.
The 14 lap race was eventually won by Carlos Reutemann in just over one hour and forty minutes. You can watch the rest of the race highlights (all 40 minutes of them) right here.
