Arrows F1 Car Gets Started Up After 12 Years Of Hibernation

Starting up any car after it’s sat idle for 12 years can be a difficult, messy and potentially expensive process. Starting up an F1 car after 12 years is a whole different thing.

This is a 1997 Arrows A18 – the car which Damon Hill so nearly won the Hungarian Grand Prix with. Its Yamaha engine was never the best so the fact it still works is one thing, but smoking like it’s an old diesel Ford Transit can’t be good!

Edit: Here’s the second start up with less smoke and more fire!
