While competing in the Rally Islas Canaries round of the European Rally Championship, Kasperczyk and his co-driver were reminded of how even the tiniest of mistakes can have huge consequences in rallying.
Fortunately the metal barrier lining the road did its job and stopped the car from tumbling down the side the mountain, though with half the car hanging over the edge it must have still been an incredibly nerve-wracking experience. It wouldn’t be surprising if it wasn’t just the road surface covered in skidmarks.
Also, can we make running from the car with an big ‘OK’ sign mandatory in all motorsport? It’s simple, effective and (although it shouldn’t be) mildly amusing.
