Red Bull haven’t hidden the fact that they’re not very happy with Renault, feeling they’re being held back by their current engine suppliers whose power unit is nowhere near up to scratch with the likes of Mercedes or Ferrari.
For the Brazilian Grand Prix, Renault finally spent some of their allocated tokens and brought a new upgraded engine to Interlagos. Good news for Red Bull, right? Well not really, as journalist Tobias Grüner revealed on Twitter, the supposed ‘upgraded’ Renault engine in fact had roughly 20hp less than the old one.
