Presumably because “Straya” Renault have released their new Formula One livery on a surf board ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
As expected from a recent leaked image, the car was put on a surf board for a video promo where Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer paddled Carmen Jorda Ellie Jean-Coffey (an Australian surfer) to a nearby party.
Yes, yes, yes, I know it’s a show car. But they weren’t exactly going to risk writing-off a brand-new Formula One car were they? They have just got rid of Maldonado after all.
So the new livery is basically just the show car livery but with the black replaced with matte-yellow. And while it’s not exactly a work of art, damn it’s nice to see some colour on the grid!
