Pastor Maldonado confirmed himself that he’d been axed by Renault and wouldn’t race in Formula One this season. Now Renault Sport F1 (formally the Lotus Twitter account) have paid tribute to the Venezuelan, thanking him for making the mechanics work so hard his loyal service for the past two seasons.

Maldonado joined Lotus in 2014 from Williams and scored a handful of points finishes in his two years with the team, as well as plenty of penalty points.
