This is Renault’s second F1 car since they took over Lotus, who in turn had taken over Renault, who took over from Benetton, who took over from Toleman, who raced against Renault. Got that? Good.
Jolyon Palmer continues with the team for his second year in F1, while Nico Hulkenberg joins the Enstone outfit having spent the last three seasons with Force India.
The new car shows off the new 2017 regs nicely and like Sauber includes a shark fin. Unfortunately though, it’s now the third car to be revealed with a thumb nose.
The launches continue tomorrow when Force India will reveal their car, with the other teams following suit later in the week before pre-season testing gets underway on the 27th.
