Many young tin-top drivers cut their teeth in the SEAT Leon Eurocup, and being a touring car series that of course means there’s going to be plenty of close racing, as was the case on the last lap of the last race of the 2016 season at Barcelona.
Alexander Morgan (in the Brawn-like livery) goes for a proper touring car lunge on race leader David Cebrian at the chicane, but the pair make contact, firing Cebrian into the gravel and breaking Morgan’s suspension.
Instead of giving up with his clearly broken car, Morgan channels his inner-Gilles Villeneuve and carries on at full speed around the rest of the lap, sideways, with smoke pouring off of the tyres in an attempt to salvage a result. Nicely done!
