Sebastian Vettel has found a pretty good way to circumvent the rules on one-off helmet designs as he’s run with quite a few different ones this year.
That was also true at the Japanese Grand Prix, as the JMD design studio came up with this. Watch as artist Agnieszka Wienand applies the awesome hand-painted design that he used over the course of the weekend.
The reason Vettel can get away with helmet design changes is because the rules say that only the basic design has to remain the same, and since his basic design is just the German flag, he can get creative with all that empty white space. Cheeky!
