Japan’s Super Formula is one of the fastest single-seater series in the world and features drivers like Le Mans star Andre Lotterer and ex-F1 fan favourite Kamui Kobayashi.
Kobayashi recently set a new circuit record at Tsukuba (a track you’ll probably recognise if you play racing games) in his Toyota powered Super Formula car, shaving almost three seconds off the previous time set in a Formula Nippon car.
This video from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, shows Kamui’s lap record from multiple angles as well as a heart rate indicator, that peaks at a crazy 178 bpm.
