Take A Closer Look At IndyCar's Windscreen Prototype

We've seen what it looks like, but what are some of the finer details of the IndyCar windscreen?

Whilst F1 has the Halo, IndyCar is going down a different route and looking to install a windscreen on its cars instead.

Scott Dixon tested it at Phoenix last month and his early impressions were good. But what is the screen made of? What challenges need to be overcome? Will it actually be practical? This handy video explains all.

The first race of the season gets underway on 11 March and although the cars won’t have the screens then, if things go well in further tests then it could be installed on all the cars by the end of this season.
